Estelle Z

We hired Estelle Z to perform at the soft-opening at the Lounge at the Greer Cabaret. She was very easy to work with and arrived ready to go. Her performance was wonderful and the audience enjoyed it very much. She has a lovely voice and is a talented musician. She sang all cover songs, and her performance kept the audience entertained and engaged. I would absolutely hire her again for another event in the future!!

Estelle is an incredibly talented and cooperative performer, and she blew everyone away with her music at my wedding ceremony at Phipps Conservatory this summer.

Several things made Estelle the perfect choice: first, there was a specific song that I knew I wanted to walk down the aisle even since before my husband and I were formally engaged: "Sweet Jane," by the Velvet Underground. We were caught looking for musicians two weeks before the big day and I was certain I wouldn't find a musician who would or could commit to learning the song with such a short deadline. Within a few days of contacting Estelle, she sent us an mp3 of her playing and singing the song...now, regardless of whether you like the Velvet Underground or not (for instance, my mother does not think "Sweet Jane" is very sweet), the song is somewhat hard to play because the rhythm and the singing are at different tempos. Estelle sent us a version that not only changed my mother's opinion of the song ("I guess it CAN be pretty!") but also was perfectly played and picked up on all the little intonations that I love about the original version.

Second, Estelle was professional in all of our communications and was completely on top of things the day-of. Right before the ceremony started, my mother had given Estelle some timing differences (cut this song shorter, they are walking down at this pace, etc.) and she seamlessly picked up the changes and delivered a beautiful soundtrack to the ceremony. All of our guests said they had not been to a wedding with such a unique sound.

Estelle's voice and playing were sweet and entirely appropriate for our garden wedding, and I can not thank her or recommend her enough!
