What to expect
When you book Eric for a solo performance, you can expect him to arrive at a time of your choosing. Typically about an hour before showtime for most venues, but earlier as needed, depending on the event. All pro grade audio equipment is provided and set up by Eric. The sound set up is venue specific, anything from a small speaker array taking up very little space up to a large, outdoor multi speaker set up capable of covering a large field up to about 300 listeners - Eric has all the gear to accommodate almost any size or configuration of event. With over 20 years of professional audio engineering experience, you can rest assured that the sound at your event will be flawless and have the volume level you want, appropriate for the room or setting.
Your performance will feature the type of music you request. Be it light, quieter songs for dinner or background music or upbeat higher energy selections for a party vibe - with a repertoire of over 100 cover songs Eric can tailor the selections to your preference. The typical default for a solo cover performance will be an even mix of these types of selections with an occasional original song mixed in.
About
Eric came up playing in bands in the Raleigh North Carolina music scene. These journeyman years included playing in various working cover bands and eventually led to him forming the touring band Urban Soil. Urban Soil had a 12 year run playing shows all over the east coast of the US and produced three studio albums of original music. While these days Eric's solo shows typically consist of mostly popular cover tunes, many Urban Soil songs as well as other music Eric has written are featured in his live solo shows. With four studio albums of original music, Eric can fill an entire show with original music if that is what the venue or customer desires. Now living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC Eric still performs all over the greater Southeastern US region.
