Emmett is the founder of a national faith-based service and advocacy network for youth and young adults. He is also a blogger, podcaster, and magazine columnist. Emmett is a talented speaker and performer, capable of delivering material that is humorous, serious, thought-provoking, moving, and inspirational, sometimes all at the same time!
Emmett is a successful fledgling peacemaker, politician, and church leader. Some topics of interest include peace, justice, politics, social issues, responsibility, college, Pittsburgh, Christianity, theology, and changing the world.
A native to Central Pennsylvania, Emmett currently studies at Carnegie Mellon University.
Emmett Eldred did an amazing job of entertaining the K-6th grade students for a one hour assembly. His demonstration of a couple of card tricks and relating to biblical principles was excellent. Only other comment I have is that his message is geared more to 4th-12th graders rather than early elementary.

What to Expect
Emmett is comfortable performing in various settings on a wide variety of topics.
You might want an inspirational/motivational speaker who can get people fired up about their ability to make a difference in the world. Emmett does that.
Or, you may want a humorous and clean stand up comedian.
Or, you may want someone who can connect well with youth, inspiring them to get involved in the world. Emmett is a camp counselor, youth spiritual formation leader, and a youth leader in the Church of the Brethren. Plus, he is a youth.
Or, you may want a performer who can really get audiences interested in deep issues. Emmett cares deeply about changing the world, it is his passion, and he loves to talk about it.
Or, you might want someone who is capable of delivering a sermon on Sunday mornings. Something reserved yet interesting, docile yet thought provoking.
Emmett is an eighteen year old college student at Carnegie Mellon University studying creative writing and professional writing. He grew up in Blair County, Pennsylvania to a conservative mother and a closet liberal father. He is a member of the Church of the Brethren, which is the awkward cousin of the Amish and the Mennonites. He is classically trained in cello and piano, and he also plays guitar, bass, and ukulele because you need at least one instrument that you're not classically trained in to counter-act the geekiness of being "classically trained" in any instrument. His father is an author and his mother is a librarian, which ignited his own loves for reading and writing. He is a recovering fat kid.
As an entertainer, he is bright, eager to perform, and fast to learn. He takes pride in being extremely flexible, and he's willing to do just about anything and everything because he loves performing. He is known for being easy going, relaxed, and open-minded. Because of his many talents, he is extremely versatile as a performer. He is a prominent figure in his church denomination, which gives him a unique perspective for a stand-up comedian. His status as a student at one of the nation's most prominent and quirkiest universities also informs his act with a unique perspective. His act is relatively clean, but it is entirely secular (though he would be more than willing/capable to perform in any setting). He is known for being quick witted, multi-talented, and extremely likable on and off stage.
He performs in Pittsburgh, but he spends his summers in Central Pennsylvania as a camp counselor.
