August 31, 2022Danced our wedding night away with an amazing band!!
We hired Monkley Cascade to perform at our backyard wedding. We absolutely loved them! The guests raved about the band and we danced the night away to some great music! The band had an extensive and impressive repertoire (and even added to this list as new music came out) which made it super easy for us to select some great songs! They also learned 2 songs for our wedding, including our first dance song, which made it extra special! We highly recommend the band and we would not hesitate to hire them again!

October 27, 2021Great band who brought the best vibes!
Monkley Cascade were a fantastic choice! We’re so happy we were able to book then for our wedding. The music fit all our needs from the wedding ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. The band is very talented and learned the songs we requested to make our day special. We wanted to note that the flautist was incredible. You know the band is good when the guests go out of their way to compliment them during the day and days after.
Not only was the music great, they never missed a beat with custom additions to our MC script. We utilized them a few times during speeches.
Communicating with Emily was incredibly easy and she was prompt. I really appreciated this aspect.
If there’s an event where we need a band, we’ll be reaching out to Monkley Cascade again because they’re as professional as they are talented. Thank you!

Emily, you and the band were amazing and even better than you were two years ago when you played for our daughter's wedding. We loved that you mingled with the crowd and integrated with our guests. Stellar job and everyone had so much fun, we’re still hearing feedback from our friends!

October 8, 2019Totally Awesome Band
We hired the Hamilton area band, Monkley Cascade for my Son's and new Daughter-in-laws wedding this past weekend and we could not have been happier. My son and his new bride fell in love with this band a few years ago at their best man's wedding. Since then they were adamant that this is who they wanted for their wedding. So glad we did. I have never danced so much at a wedding and neither have I been to a wedding that had the dance floor so full. Emily Kemp, the lead singer has an amazing voice accompanied by the most versatile and talented musicians. We had a keyboard for the ceremony, a trio of drums, guitar and upright bass for our cocktail hour (more like 2 hours) then the five piece band inside on the stage. They have an extensive repertoire of songs that you can select from for them to play or they will create their own sets. They will also learn a song or two for you. My son's name is Daniel and I rewrote the lyrics to Elton John's song "Daniel" for the groom/mother of the groom dance. I asked Emily if it was possible for her and the band to learn the new lyrics and play it at the wedding. It sounded awesome and was a very special moment at the wedding. The difference between a DJ and a live band is huge and if the band is great like Monkley Cascade, its exponential. The bit more it costs for this band compared to a DJ is worth every penny. The band will work with you to make sure you're happy and make you're day special. Apart from sounding fantastic, little touches like coming onto the dance floor during a song added to the guests enjoyment and festivities.
If you're looking for a band that energizes a party and sounds great and keeps a party going, I highly recommend Monkley Cascade for your event. You won't be disappointed. We had so many of our guests compliment us on this band we hired for the wedding.

December 3, 2018Best. Wedding. Band. Ever.
I definitely recommend this band for your wedding. I'm so glad I found them online. It was so easy to find great songs from their list. Plus, they can learn any songs you request! They had the oldies, top 40's, rock classics, and all the tunes to get every age group on the dance floor. I even got to go up there and play with the band, which was pretty intimidating because these guys are talented professionals!
Emily, the lead singer, was especially great. She would run into the audience, sing with my family and friends, and got everyone in the mood. The whole band was so genuine and pleasant to deal with.
I couldn't recommend these guys more.
