Hello!
We at The Sidewalk Crusaders are passionate about creating entertaining, musical experiences. We perform with choreography, improvised solos, and can perform all genres of music, with a variety of instruments.
Additionally, solo saxophone is a common request for us when in search for one musician.
Past events we have performed at include:
- Canada Day at Queen's Park
- The Dubai Shopping Festival in Dubai, UAE
- The Toronto Premiere of Cirque Du Soleil's, "Kurios"
- The ROM's, "Friday Night Live"
- The Toronto Pride Parade
We also play all private events!

Cover Band
A couple of years back I saw the Sidewalk Crusaders perform at a community event in Toronto. I decided to hire the Sidewalk Crusaders for a Christmas party with family and coworkers this past December. I was not disappointed! Wow! Wow! Wow! These musicians are the real deal! So so TALENTED and professional.
The energy in this band was amazing!!! We were all dancing throughout the night! I want to hire them again for a community event this spring. We wanted to add some live music to a birthday party and decided to hire Peter from The Sidewalk Crusaders to play the saxophone for us. Peter was very kind and professional throughout the process, and he did an amazing job performing everything from jazz tunes, pop tunes, to even the Star Wars Cantina tune for us! I highly recommend hiring Peter if you want to add energy and excitement to an event. He plays beautifully, and is a delight to work with. We hope to have the entire band over soon for a future party!

We worked with Sidewalk Crusaders to help us launch an incredible and dynamic community activation on Bloor St in Toronto and was amazing to draw the crowds at TEDxToronto activation and get them involved.
It was wonderful to work with the crew and team.
We also commissioned the band to activate our Laneway Launch party. It was such an incredible experience and the band was able to really engage the audience from their style of music - very engaging and ubpeat, which was the vibrancy we were seeking for our event.

What to Expect
We create exciting musical experiences which are filled with improvised solos and choreography. Melodies are covered with a horn(s) unless a singer is requested. We are able to perform all genres of music.

The Sidewalk Crusaders
"The Sidewalk Crusaders" is a versatile band, providing an interactive and exciting musical performance filled with many styles of music, improvised solos, and choreography. The band is available for hire and continues to play a vast variety of events. Contact the band if you would like to add some excitement to your next event!
Genres frequently performed by the group include pop, funk, jazz, disco, rock, top 40, country, music from film, music, from television shows, music from video games, klezmer (such as the Hora), Punjabi folk music. The band is able to perform any genre of music. The genres listed consist of the most popular genres played.
Instruments commonly used by the band include: soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, EWI (electronic wind instrument), clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, keyboard, synthesizer, electric and acoustic guitar, electric and acoustic bass guitar, violin, cello, drums, and the dhol. The band commonly uses a vocalist for its performance, as well.
The band is open to playing any and all events. Common events the band performs at include: weddings, corporate events, private parties, festivals, charity events, restaurants, clubs, bars.
Previous events the band has been hired for include, but are not limited to: "Canada Day at Queen's Park", The Toronto Premiere of Cirque Du Soleil's, "KURIOS", The Dubai Shopping Festival in Dubai, UAE, The Beaches International Jazz Festival, The Toronto Christmas Market, and Friday Night Live at the ROM.
Additional Booking Notes
We normally bring a guitar amp, bass amp, and speaker and mic for a singer (if a singer is hired). Depending on the area we are playing to (physical size/number of guests), we may or may not require additional amplification.
