Eleanor Erickson

My keynote address "It's Not About the Chicken: Nourishment for Hospitality Leaders" is a high energy, often comical, and sometimes vulnerable, 45 minute experience during which I pull back the curtain to reveal the heart and soul of the hospitality industry. Sharing stories from my 20+ years of experience in daily hotel operations, I highlight the many opportunities we have as leaders to create a sustainable culture in hotels, restaurants, hospitals, senior living communities, and much more. I invite the audience to set big leadership goals and give them tools to stay motivated and inspired.

I am a veteran hospitality professional. with over twenty years experience in hotel operations and development. I excel at motivating leaders and teams to set and achieve goals by providing thoughtful insights delivered with enthusiasm!
I am a visionary who believes in creating sustainable workplace cultures for hospitality businesses.
I have a B.A. in Sociology from Ithaca College, and will earn an M.S. in Sustainable Tourism & Hospitality in May 2023.

I prefer to speak with a lavalier microphone. During a speaking engagement of 45 minutes or longer, I will use a screen to share images.
I prefer upbeat music to play for about 5 - 10 minutes before I speak to entice the audience to meet my energy. I'm able to bring music, and also defer to the event planner if there is a particular type of music that fits the overall vibe of the event.
