Egemen (Ege) is a modern dervish traveling to find his own voice within world music, carrying the flag of his Turkish roots as a musician. Ege plays the sitar alongside other ethnic instruments (shamisen, saz, hang and handpan drums, banjo, flutes) and is able to bring out the mystic and invigorating qualities of all. He utilizes beats, loops and tanpura machines to compliment his joyful improvisations based on traditional Eastern ragas. Ege Sanli brings his sitar, handpans and flutes for most gigs. He uses a custom pedalboard with preamp, delay, reverb and looper pedals on it. The signal from instruments go through the pedals then into a Yamaha MG06 mixer. The Yamaha mixer can connect to house sound system via 2 XLR cables or instruments cables.
Note: Ege uses monitor earphones coming out from the mixer in one ear, doesn’t need a monitor speaker on stage.
