Ed Leonard and Friends

I will provide a full band sound with the minimum amount of equipment, taking up less space and allowing more room for people to have fun. You would not know that I am a solo performer unless you physically look at the stage where I am performing. Additionally, I will provide hours of entertainment with minimal breaks. During the time that I am not actually performing, I will provide recorded music to fill in the gaps, including most of the popular line dance songs.

Although you will usually find me performing my solo show under the name Ed Leonard and Friends, I am also the lead singer for Branded Heart, one of the longest running bands in Central Texas history. I have been performing for 28+ years, entertaining both older and younger audiences, and I have been playing full time for the past five years. I average 125-150 shows per year, performing most every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and I am available any day or night of the week.

I have been performing a Thirsty Thursday show at different restaurants in and around Gatesville every Thursday night since 2015. I have also played many private parties, weddings, benefits, and night clubs around the Central Texas area, including Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, Buzzard Billy's Restaurant, La Fiesta Restaurant and Cantina, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, and the Heart of Texas Fair in Waco; Fuzzy's Taco Shop, the BackPorch DraftHouse, and Bo's Barn Dancehall in Temple; and 5J Dance Hall in McGregor. I have even traveled to play as far away as my hometown of Quanah, Texas and South Padre Island.

My sound equipment consists of two (2) Bose L1 Model 2 systems, with additional support from a 2000 watt powered mixer and two 15 inch speakers for backup/support. I also can provide two on-stand LED light banks and three individual LED PAR lights for extra effect. I have, at times, employed both Bose systems and all lighting stems with the availability of only one 110 volt outlet. I can play most any size of venue and, due to the versatility of my systems, I have the unique ability to play the smallest of venues and still provide high quality sound.
