IN-PERSON VISITS
--------------------
The two most common types of In-Person Visits are the Personal Private Home Visit and Public Events like Mall Appearances. The East Texas Real Santa also makes appearances for Businesses, Veterans Groups, Active Duty Military organisations, and Non-Profit Organizations.
PERSONAL PRIVATE VISITS:
The most common of these is the Family Christmastime get-together called a Home Visit. At the start of this type of visit, Santa, arrives with pre-provided (by you) gifts to for your children (and maybe some of the adults too!) to be placed under your tree. After handing out the gifts for everyone to place under your tree, Santa might read a story or two (perhaps 'The Night before Christmas' from Santa's point-of-view), pull out his Magic ‘List’ (it knows if you've been naughty or nice!), and might even sing a carol or two with the family. Photos are always a fun part of these events. For some great tips and hints for a visit from Santa, please check out "Bringing Santa into your home: Tips for a Magical Experience" on his web page.
OTHER TYPES OF PERSONAL PRIVATE VISITS:
Besides the ‘Home Visit’, other types of Personal Private Visits can include Bridal Showers, Family Reunions, Birthday Parties, Engagements (Imagine; Santa brings the ring, you pop the question), delivering your spouse’s or Young Adult Child’s New Car, or pretty much any surprise visit you can think of at your private family function. Just remember, Santa will not do anything that would cause harm to the image or reputation of Santa Claus!
SUMMER SANTA EVENTS
------------------------------
Christmas in July events, Meet Santa at the Zoo, Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner with Santa, Picnic with Santa, Fishing with Santa, etc...
SPECIAL VISITS:
-----------------
THANKSGIVING DAY SPECIAL VISITS
Santa is available for hire to make a Special Visit on Thanksgiving Day . You can style this visit as a Traditional Private Home Visit if you wish, or invite him to make an appearance as a special guest at your Thanksgiving Day Party, Christmas tree lighting ceremony, or even invite him to make an appearance at your family's Thanksgiving Day dinner or celebration. A typical Thanksgiving Day Special Visit is approximately 15 minutes, but can be booked longer for special events.
CHRISTMAS EVE SNEAK-PEEK OR CHRISTMAS EVE SPECIAL VISITS
A Sneak-Peek, or Christmas Eve Special Visit, is a VERY special type of In-Person Private visit, and really a ton of fun! On Christmas Eve, after the children are asleep in bed, Santa shows up (scheduled between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM). He will deliver the gifts right in front of their eyes!
This is a wonderful way to keep the magic of Christmas and Santa alive. Especially if the children are getting to that age where they're starting to 'not believe in Santa' any longer.
You'll wake the children with "Hey! Santa's downstairs! Let's go peek!" and you all watch Santa put the presents out, eat the cookies, drink the milk, and other fun stuff. Remind the children, before you take them to peek, to be quiet, you don't want Santa to catch you all spying on him! Just before Santa is done (at Santa's code word to the parents) you will rush the children back to bed so that Santa can make a hasty retreat! Your children will remember this for a lifetime!
The "event" itself is typically 15 minutes to 20 minutes, 30 minutes at most from start to finish. That includes arriving, getting the presents from the parents, and getting in place before the children are woken by the parents. Then they all watch Santa for about 10 or 15 minutes as he puts the presents under the tree, eats the cookies and drinks the milk or hot coco before getting ready to leave as the children are rushed back to bed while Santa makes his exit.
CHRISTMAS DAY SNEAK-PEEK OR CHRISTMAS DAY SPECIAL VISIT
Did Santa forget to visit your house? Hire The East Texas Real Santa to make a Special Visit on Christmas Morning or anytime on Christmas Day to deliver the presents that you have left out for him to put in his bag. You can style this visit as a Sneak-Peak or a Traditional Private Home Visit as you wish. A typical Christmas Day Special Visit is approximately 15 minutes.
OTHER SNEAK-PEAKS
Other Types of Sneak-Peeks are usually shorter variations and typically occur where Santa makes a brief appearance outside in your yard or on the street while your Holiday party is taking place, but can really happen any time of year and almost anywhere, Santa lets you know when he has arrived, and you alert your guests that you "just spotted Santa outside!" and everyone looks out to catch a glimpse just before he jumps in his sleigh (car) and takes off. Other Variation can be where you spot him at a prearranged place for just a glimpse, or to deliver something special, like an engagement ring for you to pop the question with your special other present.
PUBLIC EVENTS:
------------------
BUSINESS / CHURCH / COMMUNITY ETC:
Maybe you want Santa to show up at your place of business to meet and greet your customers? Maybe it's a holiday party for your employees? A church social after the annual Sunday School Christmas Pageant? A tree lighting ceremony? Breakfast with Santa? or Fishing with Santa? Maybe you want Santa to appear at your Neighborhood Block Party or Picnic. East Texas Real Santa is open to just about anything, but remember, Santa will not do anything that would cause harm to the image or reputation of Santa Claus! So please note; events must be for businesses or organizations that would not tarnish Santa's reputation (nothing directly related to alcohol, tobacco, etc.), and that Santa will not take any sides for political parties or candidates, etc.
CHARITIES AND OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS:
East Texas Real Santa will occasionally perform at a number of events at reduced rates or free of charge for various charities (i.e. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, food banks, hospitals visits, etc.) depending on time and availability of resources. Contact East Texas Real Santa for more information.

-------------
This year The East Texas Real Santa adds the availability of the Uncle Sam. Uncle Sam is available to serve parades, festivals, Business, Veterans, Military and private events. Hire Uncle Sam to make an appearance at your event celebrating our country's 250th birthday, for photo opportunities with your family, perhaps speak about patriotism in service to our country, explaining our Constitution, or even our Pledge of Allegiance Red Skelton style.

Steps for or a Great Home Visit
-
1. Communicate with Santa well before your visit. Provide Santa with information about your children, including names and ages, as well as any special traditions or things you'd like him to know. Keep him up do dat as your event date approaches.
2. Set the scene. Decorate your home with a Christmas tree and other festive items to create a magical backdrop for photos and more photos.
3. Designate a spot for Santa to sit. Choose a clean, tidy, and comfortable area, such as near the Christmas tree but not too close to the fireplace, and ensure it's a perfect photo spot.
4. To keep Santa comfortable, please ensure that your home's thermostat is set to 'Cool' at 65 degrees F at least 30 minutes before his arrival and throughout his visit.
5. To keep the focus on Santa, please turn off the TV upon his arrival to create a more intimate experience.
6. Please manage your pets. Although Santa is 'Pet Friendly', he asks that you ensure that your pets are clean and well behaved with strangers. If the are not, or start to misbehave, please keep them out of the visiting area to prevent them from soiling or damaging Santa's suit and to ensure everyone is comfortable and undistracted.
7. Plan to take photos early in the visit. The best photos are often taken within the first few seconds of Santa's arrival, so be ready with your camera.
8. If gifts are being distributed, please handle the gifts carefully, and make sure they are clearly labeled with the child's name. Arrange beforehand if you wish for Santa to carry the gifts that you provide in with him in his bag when he enters your home.
9. Be a friendly host and introduce Santa to your guests. Help keep things on time, and encourage participation from both children and adults.
10. Help your children prepare for Santa by discussing potential questions they might have or want to answer and help them practice asking. Maybe help them write a list..
11. Understand that children can be shy or easily overwhelmed. Please don't push them to interact if they seem uncomfortable.
12. Be flexible. Allow the visit to flow naturally and be prepared to adjust the timing based on your guests response.
13. At the end of your visit, we encourage you to provide a thank-you gesture. Milk and Cookies are always welcome, but if you decide to pay Santa a gratuity, we ask that you please place it in a Christmas card and give it to him discreetly, not in front of the children.

Savor the moment and remember to enjoy the experience. Endeavor to create magical, positive, lasting memories for you and your family.
