I play solo nylon-acoustic guitar and I play in various ensembles. Please check out the audio/video samples to get a feel for the music I/we create. And please send me a message with any questions/comments/suggestions!

SYNERGY

Synergy consists of the amazing Roy Hill on viola and Duff Davis on guitar. We have performed together over 300 times in the past decade.

We play classical, jazz, latin, and pop, as well as music from many parts of the world.

We would love to play at your event. We are willing to learn special songs for a specific occasion and love performing.

We can play acoustically, with battery-powered amplification and also have a professional-level sound system, if necessary.

Besides playing as a duet, we also play with percussion and/or additional strings, such as violin, cello and bass. Please note we are also both available for solo performances, as well.

LATIN/JAZZ/SWING/POP/REGGAE/FUNK DUO/TRIO/QUARTET/QUINTET

Over the past 10 years, I've been involved in numerous combinations of small groups mainly focused on playing jazz and latin jazz, though we'll also play songs drawing from a variety of musical styles.

Duos usually with be 2 guitars, guitar + bass, or melody instrument and guitar. Trios will usually be 1) guitar, bass, drums (or percussion), 2) horn, guitar, bass 3) piano, guitar, percussion.

NEW ORLEANS STYLE JAZZ GROUP

I've been playing acoustic guitar with smaller groups for almost 10 years seeking to honor the musicians of New Orleans, such as Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong.

Groups usually consist of 1-3 horn players, guitar and bass.

SOLO ACOUSTIC GUITAR

I play a variety of styles on nylon string guitar such as rumba flamenca, traditional classical guitar music, jazz, bossa novas, latin jazz. I also use a loop pedal on occasion for higher energy situations.
