Dr Pain and the Remedy is one of the premier rock cover bands in southern Oregon. The band specializes in power pop, which is an energetic, vocally rich sub-genre of rock and roll, famous for memorable riffs and hooks. The term was coined by Pete Townshend to describe the melodic driving music of The Who, but it also applied to other British Invasion bands in the 60s, most notably The Beatles. Later, bands like Cheap Trick, The Smithereens, and The Cars continued the tradition into the 70s and 80s.
