Down Home Music

We offer music for many different types of events. We can play soft music for a classy dinner crowd, louder high energy music for a dance crowd, instrumental or vocal music, music that is kid or adult friendly, and we can play music that fits outside on a beautiful sunny day or music for a low lit hall.

Our instrumentation is interesting on the eyes as well as on the ears. The violin is loved by many. The upright bass always draws attention. Everyone loves to watch a drummer and the resonator guitar is a rare instrument.

We can play music from many different genres. We play swing gypsy jazz, bluegrass, blues and folk music. We have a large song list so we can play for many hours. We also have a strong selection of original tunes from many different genres.

Down Home Music was brought together by the members shared love of acoustic music and improvisation. Whether it be jazz, folk, blues, bluegrass, or country, Down Home Music is an ensemble who is capable of creating high energy dynamic music anywhere they travel. They believe in being practical and portable and are comfortable playing anywhere from festivals to large venues to restaurants to busking on the street with equal passion and joy.

We are very easy as far as our technical needs goes. We have our own sound equipment for rooms up to 500 people. All we need is a power outlet.
