I will gladly keep a crowd laughing for up to 75 minutes or as little as 5. It doesn't matter. I love delivering well crafted jokes. I especially love writing jokes for a party theme, say, a Valentine's day party for bitter lovers, a slumber party for single moms, or maybe a rescue party for Chilean coal miners. I don't know. Whatever you want. Especially if it's the second one.
Great experience Doug put on a great show and entertained 40 of our guest! We would definitely hire him again and recommend him!
The evaluations given were from fair to excellent.
Doug was the entertainment for the first night of a conference for college honor students. He helped the crowd relax and from his show, the students were more open to the experience from having laughed together that first night.
Practice makes perfection
Response from Doug Wilson:
Full disclosure, I was NOT a good fit for this show. I should probably edit my profile to underscore the importance of a microphone and more than 10 people in attendance.
Doug was very easy to work with! He came to the event early for any questions that may have needed to be discussed. He was very professional and had good commentary for any type of crowd. We used him for a tenure awards banquet and it went very well. I would recommend him :)
We needed Doug to Emcee our event and he did a great job!
This young man is going places! I booked Doug for a gig in Club 60 West, the brand new state-of-the art showroom at Wyandotte Nation Casino. Doug hosted the show and performed 30 minutes of outstanding clean and tasteful material. He was well prepared, professional, and hilarious. I would recommend booking Doug for both club and corporate appearances if you are looking for a great comedian who delivers an outstanding interactive show that is versatile and original.
Doug was amazing!!! One of the greatest stand up shows I've seen. Our party had 96 attendants and I don't think anyone stopped laughing. Seriously, the best!!
Response from Doug Wilson:
Thank you for the kind words. I truly had a great time with you all. Such a fun group and a great event. I'm grateful to have been a part of it!
So thankful Doug performed at our company Christmas party and absolutely rocked it. Hilarious and worth any $ amount he quotes...trust me...the best money you will spend at your party. Will definitely book again. Thanks!!'
Doug's comedy seems to come very naturally to him. He delivers with precision and confidence but absolutely doesn't shy away from engaging with the audience for more off-the-cuff banter.
For my particular event, Doug was asked to contribute to a short YouTube routine that required him to improvise given a short list of topics. He performed wonderfully. I hope to have him back soon.
We had Doug Wilson perform his standup comedy act at an anniversary party we held for two employees, Doug’s humor was tailored for the event and we found him to be on point and quite funny and engaging with the party participants. It was obvious Doug spent some quality time preparing for the event, his dialogue flowed smoothly and he found several opportunities to engage those in attendance that wanted to be involved in the comedy routine! All in all Doug’s performance was very entertaining and we found him to be quite gifted at his trade and extremely funny.
Don’t be afraid to take a chance on this up and coming comedian from Wichita, KS
Doug recently performed for our Rural Fireman’s Christmas Party in Lyons, KS. He did a great job opening up for our headliner. Doug was easy to deal with in every aspect of the gig, from booking to performance. He was a true professional throughout the process. #idigthedoug

What to Expect
You can expect a whole bunch of jokes. And that deal comes with a side order of sarcasm, heart, or viscous roasting.
*Note: Whimsy is currently out of stock.
I have been doing comedy for 20 years. My first gig was the third grade talent show. No, I didn't win, if you must ask, but I was up against some pretty tough odds; a Native American girl singing something her great great grandfather learned, I think, on the trail of tears. You can't beat that. Not even the kid belching the ABC's could beat that. But while I didn't win, I am proud to say that I took home a pretty sweet certificate of participation. I think those credentials speak for themselves.
But let me be real. I'm not telling jokes to third graders, anymore. My sense of humor has evolved. Sure, I still tell fart jokes, but now they feature a blind kid demanding to know why he wasn't told about the return of the McRib. (You know... 'cause he can smell it in the fart. Good, right?)
I am a huge fan of well scripted comedy. I take pride in lovingly handcrafting each joke until it's ready for delivery. A lot of my humor is absurd hypotheticals and cynical observation. But those observations ALWAYS have a punch line. I'm not one of those guys who will leave you hanging. I mean, what's up with that? Am I right? Am I right?
So what do I do when I'm not making blind kids smell my farts? I'm a high school teacher. As you can imagine, today's youth is a common target of my jokes. I hope you're just as annoyed by them as I am.
Additional Booking Notes
Any comedian worth their salt should be able to tell jokes with nothing more than a microphone, a mic stand, and a stool. This is all I need.
You know what? You can even keep the stand and stool. I don't need much.
