Donna Deussen is a Los Angeles-based jazz/pop singer who has performed all over the southern California and Phoenix, AZ areas. Repertoire includes jazz and latin standards as well as pop favorites, from Jobim to Norah Jones. Her sophisticated, upbeat jazzy sound will give your event class & style. December 18, 2017Donna and Paul were perfect. They played jus the right music at the right time and even managed to get in a requested song from our companies owner. Donna has a wonderful jazzy sound. Paul was a wonderful accompanist Paul was perfect in his playing and volume Their presentation as perfect and well done. The owner of our company was very pleased.

Donna's voice has been described as "shining like an aurora borealis... Her phrasing is impeccable, her tone is clear and a joy to the ear of the discerning listener" (John Gilbert (link hidden)). Her onstage presence is energetic and positive, and will enliven any party.
A magna cum laude graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Donna has been performing and recording in both Southern California and Arizona for many years. The last several years she has been performing with jazz guitarist Paul Weitz, both as a duo and with full band (bass/drums/sax). They recently released their CD "On The Street Where You Live" to rave reviews and world-wide airplay.
Some of the many Los Angeles venues where they have performed include: Beverly Hills Art Fair, Malibu Winery, Spazio’s Restaurant, the Lighthouse (Hermosa Beach), Holly Street Bar & Grill (Pasadena), Left Coast Wine Bar (Glendale), Whispers at The Grove, Cal Tech Summer Jazz Series, Squashed Grapes (Ventura), and Sportsman’s Lodge.
In Arizona, Donna has performed at: Tempe Arts Festival, the West Valley Art Museum, the Phoenician Hotel (Scottsdale), and many other venues.
Donna is also a session singer and an in-demand vocal coach.
