Stage Name Lyrics. Although he was born Derek Weems, he started as a solo artist back in Atlanta Ga before they joining forces with the radical and controversial, underground hip hop group Black Folk, who muscled their way to the top, in Decatur Ga during the 90s.

Weems shares his timeless flava & political views. Not just as an artist or a hometown personality, but also as a Spiritual, raw vegan, Certified Holistic, Natural path and Master reiki practitioner since 2004. And the link between diet, body, mind, spirit, and vibration.

Weems was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio where he resided most of his life before spending 17 years in Ga.
He emerged from a teenage gang member to a highly recognized spiritual leader in his community.
Since childhood he was heavily involved in music. And involved in the industry as a rap artist since the early 90's.
