Demetria is the founder of Demetria Gilkey Ministries, a faith-based ministry dedicated to encouraging hearts, strengthening faith, and helping women dream again and walk confidently in their God-given purpose. She is the author of Lessons Learned: A Woman’s Devotional for Living a Peaceful and Joyous Life and THRIVE: Your 3-Step Guide to Living a Fearless and Confident Life.

She holds a Master of Theology in Biblical Studies from Campbellsville University, a Master of Mass Communications, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Her academic background, combined with her lived experiences, allows her to communicate with clarity, relatability, and depth.

Demetria’s journey includes seasons of career transitions, closed doors, and unexpected redirection—including professional and academic disappointments that ultimately shaped her faith, resilience, and calling. These experiences fuel her passion for helping women overcome discouragement, release comparison, and trust God’s timing for their lives.

Demetria lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her husband, Aaron, and their daughter, Bellamy. In her free time, she enjoys great food, weekend getaways, lipstick, and creating spaces where women feel encouraged, strengthened, and inspired to grow in their faith.
