Hello! Big Jake Hovis here. I hear that the big problem when booking a comedian online is that you never REALLY know what you are going to get - it might fit the budget, but it doesn't fit the event. Allow me to take some of the hassle out of the booking process. I have included several of videos of my performances. Let me tell you what you'll see: a funny (and handsome) guy and a crowd lovin' it. Here's what you won't see: attempts to be funny while being vulgar, edgy, or worse...political. If you want people walking away from your event with a SMILE and no complaints that the "comedian was offensive", book me. But, I'm also really funny. See my aforementioned videos.

Chapel Speaker

Hey Doug! I'm sorry that you were not able to attend the Gala or Chapel. Both were a good time! Dan is a hoot, and Bruce is a great guy.
After the 2nd chapel, I had a couple dozen middle schoolers asking for my autograph. That's a new one.
The hour of stand up comedy at the Gala was a blast. The audience was so generous. I hope you raised a ton of money!

What to expect

As a corporate comedian, I performed for a variety of companies including: Valvoline, Dell Computers, Simmons Bank, Colorado History Museum, Cherokee Ranch & Castle, Living Security, University of Kentucky, Valor Christian High School, Ring Central, The Johnson Team (Real Estate), and more!

If you are looking for a seriously fun night, book me. If you are looking to ensure the company sponsored entertainment is not wildly inappropriate, book me. If you need your smoke detector batteries replaced, book me.

I also love telling jokes in churches. I have done so many times. Church people are my people. I was a youth pastor for six years and have a Ph. D. from a seminary. (I will talk to you all day about Charles Spurgeon.) I say that to say this "I know how to keep it clean". If you are looking for the combination of genuinely funny and church-appropriate, look no further.
