Overview

Hello! Big Jake Hovis here. I hear that the big problem when booking a comedian online is that you never REALLY know what you are going to get - it might fit the budget, but it doesn't fit the event. Allow me to take some of the hassle out of the booking process. I have included several of videos of my performances. Let me tell you what you'll see: a funny (and handsome) guy and a crowd lovin' it. Here's what you won't see: attempts to be funny while being vulgar, edgy, or worse...political. If you want people walking away from your event with a SMILE and no complaints that the "comedian was offensive", book me. But, I'm also really funny. See my aforementioned videos.

Jake brought his A game!

Jake was on par with his crowd roasting and jokes about himself as well. Everyone had great comments about his set.

A lot of fun!

We booked Jake for our parents surprise anniversary party. I’m so glad we did. He was great, and interacted with the crowd.

Great to work with!

Jake was easy to work with. His performance was fun and interactive. We held a formal event for teenagers and we all know they can be a tough crowd! Jake did a great job at keeping us interacting and laughing

What to expect

As a corporate comedian, I performed for a variety of companies including: Valvoline, Dell Computers, Simmons Bank, Colorado History Museum, Cherokee Ranch & Castle, Living Security, University of Kentucky, Valor Christian High School, Ring Central, The Johnson Team (Real Estate), and more!

If you are looking for a seriously fun night, book me. If you are looking to ensure the company sponsored entertainment is not wildly inappropriate, book me. If you need your smoke detector batteries replaced, book me.

I also love telling jokes in churches. I have done so many times. Church people are my people. I was a youth pastor for six years and have a Ph. D. from a seminary. (I will talk to you all day about Charles Spurgeon.) I say that to say this "I know how to keep it clean". If you are looking for the combination of genuinely funny and church-appropriate, look no further.

Did I mention I'm funny? I'm featured on Sirius XM, and I was voted best comedian in Louisville for 3 years in a row. I headline comedy clubs across the nation. Watch one of my videos and see for yourself.

About

Big Jake Hovis towers over the comedy scene at a whopping 6'8". Raised in Denver, this former teacher uses his classroom wit (and his inability to fit into airplane seats) to turn everyday awkwardness into laugh-out-loud moments. Known for his clean, self-deprecating humor, Big Jake turns his unique perspective into laugh-out-loud moments suitable for all audiences. Featured on Sirius XM and voted Leo Weekly's Best Local Comedian for the past four years, Big Jake Hovis proves that when it comes to delivering side-splitting jokes, size really does matter.
