What to Expect
I express myself from a very genuine place. I provide a heart-warming, melodious rendition of original and popular genres, including soul, rap, and Rhythm and Blues. My most sincere musical renditions come from a slow, and soulful expression of God's spiritual grace.
Periodically, I delve into inspirational tunes and loud rock music. I use rock and inspirational music to vary my genre and to tap into a different side of my personality. I also vary my genre to explore and experiment.
Silbert was born in Kingston, Jamaica to a very talented musical family. At the tender age of five, he became a member of his family’s Gospel band. They had a great childhood that was enriched by association with very gifted musicians, and they enjoyed many opportunities to entertain a variety of audiences. One of Silbert’s fondest memories includes performing alongside the amazingly talented acapella band, Take 6. During Genesis, an all-night New Year’s Eve concert in downtown, Kingston, Take 6 graced the stage in one of his last concerts on the island.
At 17, Silbert left Kingston, bound for Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in pursuit of a new stomping ground. Unexpectedly, this transition would create a shift in his childhood dynamic for years to come. Instead of being absorbed by music, the years to follow would become consumed with a more conventional lifestyle unfamiliar of the past. The US military, and college courses suddenly became his new normal.
Periodically, he explored a solo career but could not accommodate several important milestones that were designed to shift his new conventional norm. In 2007, Silbert made the leap of faith and completed his first solo album. The lyrics and musical compositions were phenomenal, but he continues to explore positive associations toward opening up the right doors for manifesting his craft.
Additional Booking Notes
Lighting - I will appreciate and accommodate any available lighting. However, great background lighting that puts the focus on the stage with dim (but not dark) lights throughout the room would be preferred.
Staging - I will appreciate and accommodate any available lighting. However, a wide enough stage to accommodate my instruments, electrical outlet attachments, and other musicians as required would be appreciated.
Sound - I usually bring enough microphones for my performance. However, available power outlets and additional speakers that resonates appropriately throughout the room is preferred.
