Dear Delight is a professional Jazz Sextet that specializes in Jazz, Blues and Soul. The band includes a very charismatic vocalist with excellent stage presence as well as a tenor saxophone player, a guitarist, a pianist, an upright bass player and a drummer. All members of the band are graduates or current students from the highly esteemed CSUN Jazz Studies program. The band currently has a weekly residency at The Auld Fella - Wilshire every Monday night from 7:30-10:30, as well as lots of experience doing private events from fundraisers to retirement homes to poetry readings.

November 11, 2025Dear Delight performed at an artist and poet summit we hosted at Pepperdine University. They were extremely professional and easy to work with in the lead-up and post-event process. But beyond this, they are simply an incredibly talented group of musicians. They played multiple sets for us, and I heard multiple audience members afterward saying that the band was the highlight of the evening. If you want a lovely jazz band to set the mood right for your event, this is it.

Gig length: 120 - 360 minutes
Unless specified, we usually arrive in concert black attire, with our vocalist wearing a contrasting color. Leading up to the event we are very easy to reach by phone or email, though phone is faster. We are open to song requests, especially if they’re ahead of the event. We aim to arrive a little over an hour before start time to allow us ample time to set up and briefly sound check. We have all the music equipment that we need to produce a great show, we only need a power source near the stage, a wall outlet or an extension cord would both be ok.
We only required a power source and a space of about 40 sqft, which can be less for smaller set ups.
