David "Sub Q" Kawamura Music Services
Overview
Hello! I'm a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist who books for live shows and recording sessions as well. I play guitar and all the assortments/flavors of guitar (acoustic, electric, 12-string, baritone, 6 string banjo, etc.), piano, keyboards, synthesizer, and bass. On top of being a musician since I was a child, I've been in the music industry for over 20 years now and graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2014 with a dual instrument performance degree (guitar/piano). I also wear many other music/sonic hats as well including music production, mixing, engineering; as well as sound design/SFX, VO mix, sync, and foley. Thank you for your time and I hope to work together!

What to expect
You can expect me to match the vibe of the event/show/gig. If you need me to be more in the background, I have no problem doing that; if you also need me to be the center of attention and keep people engaged and entertained, I can do that as well.
About
Thank you for visiting my biography. I started playing flute at age 8, piano at age 10, guitar/bass at age 13, and never looked back. I stayed active as a church musician until about 18 years old and then moved into the teaching and gigging industry right away and maintained my financial life doing every and any gig possible. I keep professionalism at the top of my list and ensure everyone is happy and satisfied with my services. Thank you!
Additional booking notes
For most events/gigs/shows I will need some sort of amplification. That is usually provided by whoever is hiring me or the band or group I'm with. However, if there is a need for me to bring amplification, I can do that at the appropriate rate.
