David & Hélène are a bilingual husband-and-wife duo based in British Columbia, blending classical guitar, warm harmonies, subtle percussion, and original songwriting with French chanson and timeless jazz standards.
Their performances move effortlessly between English and French, creating an intimate, Parisian-inspired atmosphere with a touch of West Coast warmth. From classics associated with artists like Édith Piaf and Céline Dion to soulful originals, they offer concerts that feel refined, welcoming, and deeply personal.
Rooted in BC, they perform in schools, art centers, hotels, private homes, and cultural events — building lasting connections with audiences and venues alike.

Leurs concerts naviguent naturellement entre le français et l’anglais, créant une atmosphère intime aux accents parisiens et à la chaleur de la côte Ouest. We provide our own sound system and need the room at least one hour before. We can play without power as our Bose system is rechargeable.
For venues that supply the sound, we need to connect:

Influences and inspiration
Musical Influences (French follows)
Hélène grew up surrounded by music from both sides of her family. From her father’s side: belgian singer songwriter Jacques Brel, Félix Leclerc and Gilles Vigneault, canadian singer songwriters, and Charles Aznavour. On her mother’s side: Anne Murray, Roger Whittaker, Barbra Streisand and Edith Piaf and all the pop songs on the radio. Family gatherings were full of music — call-and-response songs, accordion, and violin — instilling a love for harmony and storytelling.
As a teenager, she fell in love with bands like Harmonium, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and The Cure, while discovering the emotional depth of artists like Janis Joplin, Van Morrison, and later Amy Winehouse. Céline Dion, Gloria Estefan, Sade, Jewel, and The Cranberries also shaped her vocal and stylistic approach.
Meeting David, a classical guitar graduate, opened her world to classical repertoire and timeless standards, both French and English. Today, she blends these influences with her own lyrics and songwriting, creating performances that bridge jazz, chanson, folk, and pop in a fresh, intimate way.
