David Em is a bilingual (Spanish) magician & mentalist in the DC/MD/VA area & has been performing professionally for over 20 years. His specialty lies in the world of close-up magic, mindreading, & doing things with ordinary objects, defying reality.

David really brought the party! His magic and sleight of hand was absolutely incredible - no matter how many times he did the trick, no one had any idea how he did it. He had everyone in awe and hysterics the whole night. He read the room well and did a great job mingling. He was professional and personable. Communication ahead of time was great as well and he was very responsive. I could not recommend him more highly!!

We hired David Em for a 40th surprise party last night and he absolutely stole the show. From the moment he arrived, he had people completely captivated—moving effortlessly from small groups, blowing minds up close, to bringing everyone together for an incredible finale.
Even the skeptics were stunned. The reactions were priceless—jaw-dropping, laughing, total disbelief. He has such a natural, engaging presence and truly knows how to read a room and create unforgettable moments.

Our guests were wowed by David’s tricks. He mingled so well with the guests that everytime I looked up he had made it to a new part of the room. The guests really enjoyed watching him and trying to figure out how he did it. Would definitely recommend him. He was a delight to work with.

David was able to perform for an adult birthday party of about 25 people. He usually does larger events, but he agreed to join us and walked around the party performing to groups throughout the night. Every trick was better than the last! The group had so much fun, and the guests couldn't stop raving about how amazing he was. You won't be disappointed booking David for your next event!!

Leading up to the event David was very communicative and transparent. Very easy to discuss and book.
At the actual event, he was the most complimented part of the party. Even the grumpiest of the old men skeptics ended up laughing and enjoying the performances. Even some of the guests followed him around the party to keep watching.
True 5 out of 5 stars and will keep him in mind and recommend to anyone that asks.

What to expect
I primarily perform close-up/strolling magic for small groups at a time, providing more personal performances with a lot of guest interaction. Many of my performances end with impossible objects that the guests get to take home with them.
As your event progresses and word gets around of the things your guests just witnessed, the excitement grows and people will start lining up to see what the buzz is about.
For events with a smaller guest list, I can perform for everybody at once if you would like. I'm pretty flexible with my abilities so I can cater more to your event needs. Whatever it is, I'll make it work.
