Following high school graduation, Daron entered the workforce, gaining diverse experience in the private sector. He immediately began showcasing his expertise in manufacturing as he progressed from Branch Manager to sales roles, including managing multiple departments.
Currently serving as the Business Management Program Administrator at the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs (OKVetWorks), Daron leads a novel initiative supporting the growth of Veteran-Owned Businesses in Oklahoma. His role involves managing the program, promoting its objectives, developing policies and procedures, handling legislative aspects, and ensuring overall program success.
Previously, Daron held the role of Administrator for the Oklahoma State Use Program, where he managed, promoted, and developed policies for the program. Working with 501c3 vendors employing individuals with severe disabilities, he served on the State Use Committee, contributing to a program aimed at creating meaningful and gainful employment opportunities for people with severe disabilities. Under his leadership, the Oklahoma State Use Program achieved significant growth, generating $30 million in government sales within 6-1/2 years. He played a pivotal role in elevating the State of Oklahoma's standing to one of the top 5 State Use Programs in the nation.
Beyond his background in corrections and industry, Daron is acknowledged for his contributions to counseling and ministerial work. Additionally, he is prominently featured as a motivational speaker, business expert, and Master of Ceremonies at various events in both Oklahoma and Texas.
Acknowledged for his contributions, Daron has received numerous awards from the State of Oklahoma, ranging from a Deputy Directors Commendation Award from the Department of Corrections to being named Supervisor of the Year twice in three years.
