I teach your group or event the basics of square dancing and some line dancing. You do not need to know how to square dance yet, but you will when I get done! You will have so much FUN!

Dan was awesome with our homeschool group. For us, it was all about having fun and Dan was great instructing our vast range of ages, from 5 year olds to grown adults. Everyone had a fantastic time. We will definitely do this again!

What a great family I got to work with on teaching them square dancing and a few line dances last night. Drew and his family were so much fun and friendly and willing to just learn and play and let loose to have fun! Love this group and hope to do it again sometime.

What to expect
I teach the basics of Square Dancing to your party or group, Alamande Left, Do-Sa-Do, Right & Left Grand and a lot of other great/fun calls to dance together. I also DJ Country music for your party and I can teach a few Line Dances for your guests to learn & enjoy.
I am an experienced DJ for wedding receptions and parties. I can make your event a fun day/night for you and your guests.
About
Dan began square dancing in 1988 with his wife Gail. In 1989 they joined the Ramblin’ Rogues Square Dance club in Mission Viejo, CA. After many years of dancing and being officers in the club he started to help the beginners class “pre-warm-up” the 30 minutes before each class. He got hooked and the bug of becoming a caller became quite clear. At the SD Nationals in Long Beach, CA in 2009 he took his first caller class. He then took a second caller class at the SD Nationals in Louisville, KY in 2010 and called for the first time there. His first professional dance came in September of 2010 for the Dancing Stars with 14 squares of supportive friends. He picked up other dances and guest tips along with teaching his own Plus-Level DBD workshop. He now calls all over the United States as a full-time traveling Square Dance Caller from Mainstream through A1. Dan’s father (Ray Clairmont) was a caller for over 40 years in California and was a major influence for Dan.
A singer all of his life, Dan has been in many church choirs. Dan calls over 50 dances a year, including California, North Carolina and Texas State, and National conventions.
Dan has called for a number of clubs in Southern California, Texas and North Carolina. Dan loves Square Dance calling and singing to modern music and is an entertainer for Square Dance Party Nights at private hoedowns and western themed events in the local community. Dan even teaches and calls square dances at wedding receptions, bat Mitzvah's, birthday parties, church events and any fun celebration.
