I give you a very intimate and up close experience, to where I try to create “moments” for my audience more than anything. I interact with them to let them know that they are a part of the show, not just an audience. Sometimes I’ll invite people to come up and sing, depending on the venue and the event (if it’s appropriate/acceptable). I try to make everything as personal as possible to leave them with a lasting memory. And after each performance, I stay to mingle with the crowd, take photos, meet them at my merchandise table, and really get to know & talk to the people that I perform for. I make myself very accessible to them so they know that I’m one of them, I’m not some untouchable guy they just saw on stage.

“DA’ Black Sheep” Dan Acosta is the epitome of the "Do It Yourself" (DIY) artists. Dan, being the founding member of hard rock/metal band Axis Unknown, as well as an accomplished solo artist, has been paying his dues & pouring his blood, sweat, and sometimes tears, into this business. He is always involved in the local community and taking part in charity events, and it's this relentless drive that keeps him, and the band on top of their game. As of September 2020, Dan Acosta has relocated from Long Island (NY) to Myrtle Beach (SC) and recorded his newest EP “Beautiful Misery” - it is a collaborative effort with a local studio & guitarist, that truly showcases the maturity and growth in his songwriting, while still giving the listeners a serious ass-kicking with some true, solid, hard rock and metal music. And when it comes to his solo music (Acoustic Rock, Hard Rock/Post Grunge/Alternative Metal, and Old-Skool Hip Hop/Nu Metal), the results are no different.

With catchy hooks and a simple "in your face" approach to his music, the songwriting keeps things pure and simple, while tugging on the human heart to make the songs unforgettable to his listeners. Dan writes his lyrics from his own life experiences and tries to relate to each fan through every song, sharing his true feelings and perspectives with them – you feel the emotion, the mood, the energy… this man speaks volumes through his ability to finesse his lyrical storytelling to take you on a musical journey of emotion. And Dan brings in such a smooth, melodic tone with his vocals (mid-high tenor range), that just round out the music with the skill and precision of a true artist. Across the board, you can feel the emotion and sincerity showcased by his strong songwriting abilities, and passionate vocal deliveries.
