Femmes Haitiennes: Head of the Rising Sun
I would describe my work as moving, culturally specific, socially-conscious poems that often explore how race, class, and gender intersect in America, themes centered in Haiti with a touch of singing and occasionally a love poem. I also teach poetry workshops and host a weekly poetry open mic in Troy, N.Y. called Poetic Vibe.
