This is a soulful gathering with a positive heartbeat. We start with a short planning conversation so the experience is shaped around your people. On the day, I arrive early, take in your space, and open with a welcome that says you belong here. Then comes 45 to 90 minutes of live conversation and original poetry that is honest about the full range of feeling and always lands on a positive note, with room for your guests to speak, reflect, and be part of it.

Belle Woodz (also known as Honey Woodz and formerly known as Poetic Drops of Honey) is a spoken word poet, neo-soul artist, dancer and musician. Belle was born and raised in Long island, New York. Her love for music and writing was ignited at the age of seven and that passion was fueled to grow exponentially over time. Her greatest musical influences are Billie Holiday, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Anita Baker, Jamie Foxx and Miguel. Her poetic influences include the works of Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, Tupac and J Cole. Motivated by the effect that music and poetry has on the human mind, heart and soul, she continues to perform at live events and spoken word venues. Her mission is to illuminate the human condition through art, to induce healing and positive change. She encourages others to have fun with whatever they choose to do in this life.

Simple setup, flexible for any room. In a quiet space with around 50 guests, I can often work without amplification and walk the room as people share. For larger rooms, rooms with echo or background noise, or any event where guests may need help hearing, I ask for a microphone and speaker, or I can bring a portable sound system for an added fee. No stage is needed, just a clear space where everyone can see and hear. I love a warm, softly lit room. If you have dimmable lights or lamps, great. If not, I can bring LED ambient lighting. I’d like 45 to 60 minutes for setup, plus a small table for water, books, and a sign-up sheet. We’ll confirm the details on our planning call.
