Belle Woodz (also known as Honey Woodz and formerly known as Poetic Drops of Honey) is a spoken word poet, neo-soul artist, dancer and musician. Belle was born and raised in Long island, New York. Her love for music and writing was ignited at the age of seven and that passion was fueled to grow exponentially over time. Her greatest musical influences are Billie Holiday, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Anita Baker, Jamie Foxx and Miguel. Her poetic influences include the works of Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, Tupac and J Cole. Motivated by the effect that music and poetry has on the human mind, heart and soul, she continues to perform at live events and spoken word venues. Her mission is to illuminate the human condition through art, to induce healing and positive change. She encourages others to have fun with whatever they choose to do in this life.
