Solo Guitar with accompaniment backing tracks. Electricity Required for small amp .Battery Power is an option . For up to 100 people . Each song is roughly 4 minutes long or 7 to 8 songs per ½ hour .

Steve Nichols has been playing for over 45 years, drawing from musical sources as diverse as rock, classical, jazz, Latin-jazz, blues, and country. Steve has performed professionally on stage and worked as a studio musician in the recording industry in Los Angeles, and throughout the western states. Currently Steve plays, records and teaches private guitar lessons in San Diego. Influenced by an array of famous guitarists including Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Barney Kessel, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, John McLaughlin, BB King, Albert Lee, John Williams, and the one and only “Django Reinhardt” Steve now has a diverse and colorful Jazz Solo Style of playing .Steve’s sound can be Chord-melody-bass only and/or , utilizing backing track accompaniment in a mix of genre styles , Pop Jazz, traditional Jazz ,Smooth Jazz , Swing , BosaNova , Cuban Son Montuno , Reggae ,Samba , Jazz Ballads , Funky , Bolero , and Jazz Rock .

For 7 years Steve has been performing in the southern California area with a ”Django Reinhardt” Tribute group called “The Gypsy Swing Cats” , in addition to his variety group Crosswinds since 1989 .

I can perform any special request with advance notice. If you have a specific song in mind and it is not on my limited sample list in all likelihood I already know it, and if not I can learn it.

. I perform approximately 45 minutes per set with a 15 to 20 minute break. Costs can be negotiated to work with any specific budget, schedule or event, we are flexible. Recorded music will be provided while on break, so there is on going music at all times.
