Mass Transit

Mass Transit is a combination of a full-band and a DJ at a fraction of the cost and footprint of a live band! While our live instruments are backed by professionally-produced tracks, we are NOT karaoke.
Heather O'Day sings, plays the guitar and hand percussion, and Stephen Anthony brings a vast array of percussion through his electonic drum set. We offer a compact and powerful, state-of-the-art Bose L1 P/A system. We offer a full lighting show (rainbow colors, lasers, strobe, uplighting, blacklight, etc.) at NO additional cost. Even though Mass Transit was formed September 2017, vocalist/guitarist Heather O'Day and drummer/sound engineer Stephen Anthony have had decades-long careers in their own right.

Lead vocalist Heather O'Day has performed with international acts REO Speedwagon, Journey, Alice Cooper, Arizona Opera, and Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Drummer Stephen Anthony has performed with national acts coast to coast and is a pro sound engineer, both in live sound and in the studio, as the founder and mixing/mastering guru at SonLight Studios in CA.

Mass Transit requires a *MINIMUM* 2-hour setup time. Our equipment is 100% on wheels - that means we CANNOT get into a space if there are only stairs and/or uneven ground. There must be an elevator or steady ground to load equipment.
OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES: Due to health and safety reasons, we will only play outdoors if the temperature is between 50-90 degrees F. The venue is responsible for heaters in the winter, and overhead cover for morning or afternoon performances.
