August 4, 2024Kate brought her hoops and fire to The Oaks Lakeside Restaurant and dazzled our dinner guests for a fun evening on our lawn over looking Chippewa Lake. She was fun, engaging and very talented. From booking to the end of her performance, Kate was professional, accommodating and quite enjoyable to work with. November 3, 2019From the start, Kate was impeccable with her communication. I never wondered or worried about them being a part of our event. She was on top of everything and very proactive. She could not have communicated better. In the end, we couldn't have them do the fire performance because of the weather. They were prepared to offer indoor performances last minute. I would definitely highly recommend!!

A) Strolling performances to interact with guests (festivals, fairs, retreats, birthdays, holiday events, etc.)
B) Ambient (behind-the-scenes entertainment, non-interactive)
C) Choreographed acts (great for weddings, showcases, or other presentations)
D) Workshops for kids or adults! (Learn how to juggle, hoop, dance, or other forms of movement arts and object manipulation)
Depending on the style of performance chosen, our acts range from 30 minutes to 2 hours. If a choreographed piece is requested, performer will present the act through one piece of music ranging from 3-6 minutes.
Quotes are calculated based on travel, costuming or character builds, request for choreographed acts, holiday rates, fire permits, and licensed exhibitors. Client is responsible for paying all fees associated with obtaining a fire permit.

A huge highlight for Kate was creating a hoop concept that became popular in the flow arts community, and was eventually performed by a Cirque Du Soleil member, and she had the opportunity to provide act building techniques.
Shas performed and facilitated workshops all around the U.S. and Mexico to include circus-styling multi-hooping, variety fire dance, juggling, balancing acts, and dance since 2013. Kate believes in the power of play, storytelling, culture, and movement to create capacity for genuine community, social change and impact.
Not only is Kate a skilled performance artist specializing in modern circus, dance, and storytelling, but she is a mother, partner, sister, daughter, advocate and organizer.
Kate also works with a wide range of artists to compliment your event, so please share how we can best support your vision from themes to costuming, and a variety of specialty of performers.
Fire performances require an open flat ground that allows an appropriate distance from guests. If the fire performance is inside, the venue must be inspected for proper ventilation. More fire safety procedures are discussed during the booking process.
Staged performances for large events will require a tech rehearsal session to test lighting, sound, and other stage preparation.
