Overview
Stand up comedian and Teaching artist proficient in remote training and presentation. Can host special events/weddings, awards shows, corporate parties, children's parties (complete with a musical show), short or long form improv, character presentations, you name it!
Jeanette is a trained improviser and actor in Los Angeles. She's hosted for 15+ years, directed and performed in children's theatre, produced and acted throughout Chicago including a solo show in 2018.
As far as vibe/tone, Jeanette can do a range from deadpan sarcastic, to bright and bubbly. Humor is a common denominator in her presentation, it just depends on what style of humor you want her to cater to.

From the moment she arrived, Jeanette was nothing but pleasant, professional, and funny. She was helpful in getting everyone rounded up, and was able to control the rowdy room from the beginning to the end. I would highly recommend requesting Jeanette, as she is polished, experienced, and great to work with.

My husband and I hired Jeanette to emcee our wedding six years ago, and she did an amazing job. She was funny, heartfelt, and she kept the timing and pace of the wedding going all night. She sat down with us before the wedding and talked with us about what we wanted the night to look like: so the actual night she was prepared, and had funny little anecdotes to keep the crowd engaged. I was super pleased with her performance. I would definitely hire her for my next wedding. Hahaha, just kidding!

This was such a fun event; people I knew from HS, knew that I had a background in performance and asked me to be a part of their big day. The officiant was a HS teacher, and I was able to work with him as well to keep the theme of the whole day in honor of the bride and groom. There was several speeches, and I was in place of a DJ. A very fun, and successful, event.

What to expect
Jeanette is a trained improv comic, as well as a stand up comic and trivia host. This means that she runs the gamut of producing material based around a theme of your choice, or taking your event details and presenting them to an audience of engaged listeners, or anything in between. She also has 7 years of remote training and workshop facilitation.
She has done improv for youth and adults alike, can play to an audience of 7 or 70 year old party members.
She is not afraid to act silly, and is inspired by the theme and concept of whatever your event is aiming for. If you want a character to announce awards, or a facilitator to deliver important information, she's ready to mold to all of your needs.
She is very engaging and crowds warm up to her quickly. Her boisterous, resonant voice commands attention the very moment she takes the stage.
About
Bachelors of Arts in Theater and International Studies from the University of Denver. Graduate of Second City and iO Training Centers. Assistant Directed and performed in a weekly children's show. Member of Second City's House Company (Fall 2015). Hosts private event trivia, weekly bar trivia for a decade, produced a karaoke competition show. Performed and coached at iO Chicago, ComedySportz, Under the Gun, and Bughouse Theater. Produced, wrote, and performed in solo show in 2018.
I've been a teaching artist for 15 years, instructing and directing students ages 4-adult.
During COVID Lockdown I produced/co-hosted a season of a comedy podcast, and wrote, performed, and produced a music video about Ruth Bader Ginsberg (in my videos), as well as hosted virtual events for adults and children's programming.
