Comedian Luke Borchardt

I get to an event 30mins to1 1/2 hrs before an event to get set-up(if set-up is required), test the sound system, and go over any content with the host of the event to ensure we're on the same page.

Before the show starts, I generally keep to myself, I'll talk with the host but I generally don't talk to members of the audience until after the show, I've found that shows go much more smoothly that way.

During the show: I may interact with some members of the audience but that's generally not part of my set, I'm not an insult comedian, I don't attack people personally, I don't slam them, or put them down. The only time I'll get upset is if I feel as if an audience member is getting out of hand, and is starting to ruin the show.

After the show: I'll thank everyone for coming, I'll have a merchandise table/area,(if appropiriate) where I'll be engaging with people, and selling my items. After that I'll begin tearing down my equipment (if applicable), check in with the host, receive payment, and be on my way.

Luke brings a unique perspective to the stage by talking about his everyday life, past job experiences, and his unique living style. Luke has performed in hundreds of shows all over the nation, doing clubs, colleges, corporate events, and even a few house shows.

Luke has attended Columbia College(Chicago) studying comedy writing and performance, and trained at The Second City (Chicago).
