He did an excellent job of getting to know his audience before performing his show, which I believe contributed significantly to his success. I'd like to see this celebration grow larger each year, and I'd like him to be a key part of that growth. I hope to collaborate with him again in the future.

Being a military kid, moving around, seeing different kinds of people and lifestyles, Derrick came to a realization, early on, ‘We ain’t gon’ make it!!!!!’ To get his message out, just being the class clown was not a big enough stage. So he sought out the sweet science of stand up comedy.
Derrick has opened for some great comedians such as: Earthquake, lil Rel, Dez White, Damon Williams, Kevin "Damn Fool" Simpson, Flex Alexander, Juan Villareal, Terry Grossman, Billy Sorrells, Michael Shaw, Cocoa Brown.
