Coach Walker

Jimmie Walker III is from Tulsa, OK where he graduated high school from Nathan Hale. After high school, he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and graduated in May 2003 with a Bachelor Degree in Recreation. While at Southeastern, he was a three year starter on the men’s basketball team. Finished, his career in the top 5 in steals and assists. While in college, Mr. Walker coached little dribbler’s basketball, worked several Southeastern Basketball Camps, and worked at Bryan County Youth Services as a counselor and driver. Throughout his athletic career, was known as a leader on the court and off the court. His teammates had an enormous amount of respect for him because Jimmie would do whatever it took for the team to be successful. He recently completed his Master Degree in Sports Administration in March 2013. Jimmie Walker was the assistant men’s basketball coached at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College for three years. He also held other jobs such as the Assistant Resident Director, Instructor, Supervisor in the Student Activity Center, and sponsor for the African-American Society. Coached four years at Will Rogers H.S. as the head boys basketball coach. He's currently coaching in assistant boys basketball coach in Muskogee. Mr. Walker is the co-founder of PlayMaker Express, which is an organization that works with youth in basketball and life skills. Over the years, Coach Walker has assisted in the placement of over 100 youth into different colleges throughout the United State and still doing it today. Coach Walker spends considerable time delivering motivational speeches to encourage education, a healthy life style, goal setting, life skills, being a successful athlete, and the downfall of alcohol & drugs.
