Overview
Classical Revolution is a collective of talented classical musicians based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We perform in a wide variety of venues and musical environments, with a repertoire that ranges from classical chamber music and light classics to pop/rock and jazz tunes.
Classical Revolution has booked musicians for public events in over 100 Bay Area venues, including our home venue Revolution Cafe and larger venues such as Yoshi's SF, de Young Museum, and the Great American Music Hall.
We are available for a wide variety of private events, including weddings, parties, corporate events, and memorial services and our experienced staff can help make make your event extra special!

At the last minute, my wife and I decided that we wanted live musicians to play our wedding processional, and we received a recommendation from a good friend (who is also a musician) to contact Classical Revolution. Charith, who runs the group, was incredibly friendly and accommodating from the start, promptly answering our emails and providing lists of possible pieces to be played. The musicians’ repertoire is quite lengthy—all performers are able to handle a sizable number of both Classical and modern titles, meaning commissioning clients can have one, the other, or a mix of the two for their events. All correspondence and payment was handled online, making it a pleasant breeze!
We Googled our cellist and violinist, and were impressed by their credentials as Conservatory-trained orchestra members. As such, it was no surprise at all that Anthony and Gabriel were incredible on the day of our ceremony—on such short notice, no less!
I have nothing but good things to say about Classical Revolution for their professionalism, flexibility, and talent. A huge thank you to Charith, Anthony, and Gabriel, for making our special day that much classier!

About
Classical Revolution is a collective of some of the Bay Area's most talented classically trained musicians.
Our organization began in 2006 hosting weekly chamber music sessions at Revolution Cafe in the Mission District which continue to this day.
Our musicians have experience performing in many diverse musical environments: including major symphony orchestras, well known rock and pop bands, and various assorted chamber music ensembles.
The core of Classical Revolution's activities has been in presenting public chamber music events located at neighborhood and community venues throughout the Bay Area.
Besides our home venue of Revolution Cafe, Classical Revolution has booked public events in more than 100 Bay Area venues, with current residencies at Awaken Cafe in downtown Oakland and Caffe Trieste in West Berkeley.
The Classical Revolution model has spread to cities around the world and the mainstream press has applauded our efforts, with feature articles in the San Francisco Chronicle, New York Times, Strings Magazine, The Economist, Wall Street Journal, and a cover article in SF Weekly's 2012 Fall Arts Guide.
Our experienced staff and musicians can help you book the specific ensemble type and repertoire you are looking for.
Weddings: Our musicians have each played hundreds of weddings. We offer prelude, processional, and recessional music for the ceremony, cocktail hour / reception music, and can also help you book a jazz, rock band, or DJ for dancing.
Private events: Whether you are looking for a string quartet to perform Mozart or Haydn to set a perform background for your event, or a high energy trio to wail on some Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones covers, we have you covered.

Additional booking notes
We are extremely portable and fit well into pretty much any environment you can imagine.
String quartets will take up about a 10'x10' area.
We provide our own lighting (when needed) but will require chairs (at least for the cello player).
Outdoor performances will include specific requirements, regarding shade, temperature, etc.
