February 16, 2020Not worth price paid.
Birthday person said she heard Chicc before and that was what made me hire him for the event. However he was not that funny. He also cut the time short for the event.

January 5, 2019Outstanding
Had the privilege to work with Chicc to secure a comedian for our New Year's Eve celebration at church. Unfortunately, Chicc was not available for the date, but he came through with flying colors with Aja Bennett. We laughed until our faces hurt. It was an awesome time.

What to expect
"You can expect to laugh!", is what one person blurted when asked what to expect from a show where Chicc is performing. His jokes are filled with such zeal and truth, that you can tell he has lived them, not just telling them. He also brings the same energy and enthusiasm to all his shows, whether he's hosting an anniversary party, closing out a star-studded comedy show, or just telling a few jokes to a handful of church folks. He loves his craft, and the fact that he does it to show God's people that "saints can laugh too!"
About
"Rakim Singleton, better known as ChiccTheComedian, is a Christian comic who brings laughter to God's people. Though not perfect, the Lord has still chosen him to minister thru jokes. Onstage, he speaks about the life he lives now as a changed man of God, blessing audiences with funny tales of life, church, faith, and failures....while making them crack up about it the whole time. His testimony of being a former gang member, who served most of his adulthood behind bars, comes to life thru his comedy. His motto, "I'm Not Here To Preach...I'm Here To Tell Jokes", really speaks of his everyday livelihood, for he is also a youth minister at Faith Temple Church in East Orange, under the helm of Bishop Aaron L. Hobbs. Once he was released from federal prison, he promised himself that he would serve the Lord, not knowing that he would be spreading the Good News thru comedic Gospel punchlines, that has audiences rolling in their seats from all over. With every opportunity he has, he gives God the glory for putting him in the position to serve Him in this capacity.....to tell jokes for the Lord!"
