As a Celtic background harpist, I will bring a soft touch of magic and beauty to your event. I’ll get people dreaming, tapping their feet, wiping their eyes or humming the tune.

July 14, 2024We had our wedding yesterday and had Cristiana do the ceremony. I did not hear anything before my song because I was tucked away inside but what I did hear was beautiful. AND when I had a special request with plenty of time she was willing to try learning a piece for us which sounded beautiful!!

July 2, 2024She was wonderful in communicating with us, open to wearing thematic attire and throughout the Wine Tasting Dinner she coordinated with the sommelier while he discussed the wine & food pairings. Her musical abilities are very high and beautiful. We cannot await the next time we invite her back again.

I play a variety of traditional Celtic music, hymns, classical and popular songs. The majority of my music is traditional Celtic, so the general ambience you can expect is a dreamy, wishful/hopeful and at times toe-tapping air.
Another love of my life is costumes, and I am most happy to come dressed in a variety of costume styles to match your event. (I do have a few exceptions.) Fantastical, elven (LOTR), vintage and hobbit are some of the looks I enjoy.
The harp pictured with me is the harp I will play. It is the largest kind of Celtic/Lever harp made. It was handmade by the president of Dusty Strings and was his favorite instrument, partly because of the beautiful wood design and mostly because of its rich and mellow sound, unlike the many twangy lever harps.
Christiana Thomas has been making music on the Celtic Harp since she was eight years old. Now a late teen, she seeks to bless others with the music she loves.
I was raised in a very musical family and started playing the piano at the age of 4. Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and the harp has been my instrument since the age of 8. I’ve had 11 years of experience on the Celtic harp and I had the best teacher who herself is a well-known musician in her time.
The harp has a resonating sound, so you can tuck me in a corner or put me on a stage and the harp will be heard. I also have an amplifier to up the volume if necessary. Just give me a space for a chair, music stand, (my harp), and possibly some elbow room if you have it. :)
Also something to note:
I am a Christ Follower, and at this time I will be declining offers to play on Sundays.

Repertoire ranging from Traditional Celtic music (‘Will Ye Go, Lassie, Go’/’She Moved Through the Fair’/’Skye Boat Song’) to hymns (‘Fairest Lord Jesus’/’Be Thou My Vision’/’All Things Bright and Beautiful’) to classical (‘Canon in D’/’Prelude in C’), to popular songs (‘A Million Dreams’/’A Thousand Years’/’May it Be’/’I See the Light’).
I have an amplifier to use if needed, but if you would prefer the music to go through your sound system, then the harp can be mic'd as well with no problem.
My harp has a pickup on the inside that can be connected to a sound system with a quarter inch jack.
