A music performance graduate, Jaye studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music and holds a Bachelors in Music Performance from the University of Toronto. Her teachers included Douglas Stewart, Christine Little and master classes with Per Oen, Peter Lloyd and Julius Baker. In addition to performing, Jaye is an active private teacher in the Toronto area. She is a recording artist and occasional presenter at the National Flute Convention. She is Principal Flute with the Peterborough Symphony and Alto flutist with Orchestra Toronto.

Guitarist/arranger Lawrence Barley lends both depth and variety to this duo. He studied guitar and lute with William E. Trotter, a student of Julian Bream and Suzanne Bloch, at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He has also studied with Dr. Aaron Brock, Robert Hamilton, Michael Kolk, Andrew York and theory with Molly Sclater, Joe Ringhofer as well as Professor Guillem Perez-Quer of the Barcelona Conservatory in Spain. In addition to playing guitar, Lawrence is a talented euphonium player and has been a member of the Governor General’s Horse Guards Band for over twenty five years. As such, he has appeared in movies such as Police Academy 3 and X-Men and can also be heard on the X-Men soundtrack.
