I am a professional cellist with extensive performance experience, dedicated to bringing the beauty and warmth of live music to any occasion. Whether performing timeless classical pieces, modern favorites, or custom arrangements, I tailor each performance to suit the mood and vision of the event. The rich, expressive tones of the cello can perfectly complement a wedding ceremony, add sophistication to a corporate event, or provide a heartfelt touch to an intimate gathering. In addition to performing as a soloist, I also perform as part of a duo, trio, or string quartet.

Our cellist Zelda and the violinist were a perfect addition to our event; they were quick to reply and very easy to work with. She was able to fit in our last-minute requests without any issues. I recommend booking her, you wont regret it.

Cellist Zaida is professional, kind, and very skilled at playing her cello! We enjoyed having her at our wedding reception. She added a nice mood with her music.
She let us choose some music pieces for her to play, she set up by herself, and cleaned up by herself.

Zaida was absolutely incredible and such a beautiful part of our wedding day. From the moment she started playing, the entire atmosphere felt more romantic, elegant, and emotional.
What stood out most to us was how much feeling she brings to her music. She doesn’t just play beautifully, she captures so much emotion, and you can genuinely feel it in the atmosphere. Her music made some of the most meaningful moments of our day feel even more powerful and unforgettable.
She was also so professional, kind, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Everything felt seamless, and having live cello added such a timeless and elevated touch to our wedding.

What to expect
My repertoire includes a wide variety of styles, ranging from Classical, to Romantic and modern pop music. I work closely with clients to curate performances that reflect their unique tastes and enhance every occasion.
About
Zaida Nassirov graduated from Glenn Gould Professional School of the Royal Conservatory of Music with Honours ARCT Diploma and Licentiate in Performance. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the Open University of British Columbia. Zaida is a first prize winner of the Azerbaijan Youth Competition. She toured in Europe and North America as a member of Chamber Orchestra “Ilham.” Zaida is a Provincial Finalist of the Canadian Music Competition in the Chamber Music Category. Throughout her professional career, Zaida has been performing with many different orchestras such as Toronto Sinfonietta, Ontario Philharmonic, Kindred Spirits and Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra. In addition to performing, Zaida has over twenty years of experience in teaching cello, piano, and music theory.
