June 16, 2025Sekend has a great voice and performed A Cappella flawlessly and beautifully. He adapted at the last minute to provide the PA and microphone and set it up for us on short notice.
We are a small non-profit and this was our first time going through an online booking service. We are so glad we had Sekend as our performer and will hire him again.

My roots are deep in the soul of legends like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and Donny Hathaway—but today, I’m equally inspired by modern storytellers and sonic architects like James Fauntleroy, Frank Ocean, and Leon Thomas. I’m drawn to the lyricism and cadence of hip-hop greats like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, the funk-infused soul of Anderson .Paak, the alt-R&B vibes of Lucky Daye, and even the genre-blending style of artists like Shaboozey. I pull from all corners—R&B, hip-hop, funk, alternative, country—just great music, period, regardless of genre or background.
