Excellent

We had never hired a singing telegram. These days, it seems like a lost art. Carol showed us that the art is alive and she is excellent at it. She came to my mom’s birthday party as Dolly Levi from the movie Hello Dolly and sang Hello Dolly to my mom named Dolly. When we asked her to sing the whole song, we were thinking the 2 minute version by Louis Armstrong. She came and sang the whole 5 minute song - Louie Armstrong, Barbara Streisand, and the Chorus! She blew us away! It was so hot outside, but she was as cool as a cucumber. She is so kind and a great star! Thank you Carol for making the day so special for everyone!

Past Performance venues have ranged from schools, libraries, historical sites to traditional theatrical stages.

My Children's story-telling programs can be quite elaborate depending on your needs.

About

Ms. Weakland is an actress, author, singer and story-teller who is perhaps best known for playing Emily Dickinson in "The Belle of Amherst,” which she has toured professionally since college. She is the founder of Great Expectations Theater Company, which brings classical literary works to life on stage. She performs numerous one woman shows including: “Jane Eyre, “Pride and Prejudice,” “Wuthering Heights,” “Cricket on the Hearth,” “The Turn of the Screw” and “Morgen of Avalon.” She is also the author of Land of the Twilight Mist, the Morgen of Avalon series, Secrets of the Flower Fairies and The Adventures of Maid Marian, Healer of Sherwood Forest.

She has also been honored for her work with children and story-telling -- winner of the National Interpreter Award, Great Lakes Region.
