CactusHead Puppets

CactusHead Puppets will arrive 1hr. before the performance to set up (see stage/setup requirements), and will bring all our own needed equipment. Performances last 30-40 min., depending on the story you choose, and after each show we do a short demonstration and Q&A to teach the audience how the puppets work and were made. After the show CactusHead Puppets will need 45 min. to break down and pack up.

CactusHead Puppets was started in 2010 by husband and wife team John and Megan Regan. Since then they have created six shows based on favorite, familiar folktales, and have toured throughout Southern New England. Megan and John are both graduates of the University of Connecticut's Puppet Arts program. Megan is originally from the Kansas City area, where she worked with Paul Mesner Puppets. John is from western Massachusetts, and is honored to be performing in the same venues where he saw puppet shows growing up. Megan collects pop-up books, and John has a love for giant monster movies.

All our touring shows require a smooth, flat floor space 11ft wide by 8ft deep with at least 8ft high ceilings for our stage set up. We tour with our own sound system, and require access to an electrical outlet for the sound system.
We will use whatever general lighting is available in the performance space.
