What to expect

Butterfield Creek is a professional band, but very workable and flexible . Steve (guitarist, mandolin player, manager and janitor) will work with you directly and will do everything possible to ensure an event/concert that fits your needs.

About

Butterfield Creek hales from Chicago's southland, named after a 15.2 creek that is a tributary of Thorn Creek near Chicago and flowing to Lake Michigan. Musically, we consider ourselves a FLARBA band - Female-Lead, Acoustic Rock Bluegrass &, Americana, and Butterfield Creek has existed since 2018. However, it was early 2020, right before quarantine, that we really came together with the current lineup. All our current members, Anastasia, Maddie, Matt, Rob and Steve each have many years of music and stage experiece and together we have found that creating music together is a blast, and it shows. We play guitars, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass & banjo. We are engaging and you can expect to hear some popular favorites as well as a few off-the-beaten-path covers from the last five decades acoustified and bluegrassed-up just a bit. We'll throw in some traditional bluegrass songs and originals too. Maddie & Anastashia do the heavy lifting vocally, but BC keep things moving cuz we all sing or add backing vocals from time to time. We can cover one, two or three sets of music and if needed, and can provide our own PA system and even our own canopy tent if needed for outdoor events.

Additional booking notes

Butterfield Creek has played big stages and we have played backyards using our own tent and PA system. There are reasonable additional costs for our bringing out own tent and PA system, otherwise we can plug entirely into your system, using only our own mics if you have a complete system, or we can bring just a sub-mixer to run all of our mics and instruments through. If you are not sure what you need or if you need assistance understanding these facets, Steve (band leader-guy) has years of experience running music events and festivals. He's happy to help as needed.
