Brian Kane and his Swingtet have performed at over 3000 live events between Washington DC and Bar (link hidden)e group combines the highest levels of musicianship and showmanship for bespoke private events featuring the enduring music of the Great American Songbook with solo through quintet configurations. From the music of the roaring 20's to Sinatra of the 1960's Brian's vast repertoire, renown saxophone playing and vocals, will keep clients entertained and amazed. Based in Boston, the group books private events between New York and Bar Harbor. Available in solo to quintet configurations.

About

Brian Kane is perhaps the busiest jazz musician in New England performing in excess of 400 live private concerts each year featuring his vocals, saxophone, and renown storytelling and history of Great American Songbook. In addition to his 1 hour concerts, he is actively performs at private events as both a solo performer and with his larger groups-duo through quintet. He is the author of five books for music educators, dozens of published articles, and has been featured in magazines like Saxophone Journal, Choral Educator, Jazz Educators Journal, Music Teacher International, and Jazz Ed. He is a veteran performer with over 3000 gigs as a top contract sideman and over 2000 as a leader.

Brian's repertoire consists of over 500 Great American Songbook standards from the 1920's to 1960's.
Themes events based around Nat King Cole, Frank SInatra, Glenn Miller, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Fred Aistaire, Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Johnny Mercer are regularly performed. We specialize in the historic music of the Great American Songbook.

To be clear, either in a solo event or a duo-quintet configuration, we don't play rock and roll. We are not a wedding band.
