Our one-woman shows and cabarets are usually performed with either a trio or quartet. Julia will also sing with piano accompaniment for concerts and smaller venues.

Julia Breanetta Simpson is a professional actress and singer who brings class and style to any event. A dynamic and versatile singer, Julia’s repertoire includes jazz standards, R&B, gospel, blues and Broadway. She has performed throughout the nation on tour and at Regional, Dinner and Stock Theatres. She has performed her original one-woman shows, concerts and cabarets, featuring world-class musicians, in Off-Broadway Theatres and other New York City venues including New World Stages, The Triad and The Metropolitian Room. Julia created Breanetta Productions to inspire and educate while entertaining audiences of all ages and walks of life.
Julia’s CD “Here’s To Life!” features many of the gems found in her dynamic one-woman show “Harlem On My Mind.” Her recent release “Classy & Sassy: A Lena Horne Tribute” include some of the same hauntingly beautiful standards found in the show.
Julia earned her BFA degree in Musical Theatre at Syracuse University. Her musical influences include Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, Audra McDonald and Aretha Franklin, to name a few. Julia is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
Our performances always benefit from a having an acoustic piano that is tuned immediately prior to the event and an on-stage monitor. If a piano is not possible we will work with an electric keyboard or a digital piano.
Some shows require a wireless bodymic because of dancing and movement. We will provide a keyboard, PA and mics if necessary.
