We're a seven-piece brass band that plays music in the New Orleans jazz tradition; Louis Armstrong, Bix Biederbecke, and the like. We can play parties, stage gigs, parades, and more - we can fit in pretty much any situation.

November 5, 2024We had the pleasure of hosting the incredible Brass in a Box band during the Kentucky Derby, and they absolutely blew us away! Their energy was infectious, and they created the perfect vibe for the day. The crowd couldn't stop dancing, and the festive spirit they brought to our space was great. If you're looking for a band that can elevate your event, Brass in a Box is the way to go. Highly recommended!

We're a trad jazz band, playing in the New Orleans style of Louis Armstrong, Bix Biederbecke, and other greats. We'll transport you back in time to the swing era; our music is hard to not dance to!
We’re a brass band that plays swing music and early standards from the likes of Louis Armstrong, Fletcher Henderson, Bix Biederbecke, and other artists in the New Orleans and early New York jazz traditions.
Our drummer is a kit player. He can provide his own.
We can play acoustic, if you mic us up we'll usually need one mic for inside the sousaphone bell, and 4-5 standing mics.
We are sometimes joined by a singer, who would need a mic if she's there.
Our violinist can plug into amplification or bring his own amp if needed.
