Brandon Starnes

I was born in Baton Rouge LA, on Dec. 30 1981 I lived there until I turned 8 and then moved to Mississippi. I grew up in Wesson, MS and accepted christ when I was 14 years old.

I graduated from Wesson High School in May of 2000. In 2001 I surrendered to ministry at Zion Hill Baptist Church. I received my Bachelor of General Studies with a concentration in Religion from William Carey College in 2005. I married Dana Chaney in 2006. Dana is also a graduate of William Carey College with a degree in Classical Guitar Performance.

Dana and I enjoy leading worship together and believe we compliment each other very well in ministry. I received a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2009. I have served the church twelve years.

When I speak, I bring a contagious excitement of God’s word and personifying its teaching within the context of community. I want to teach theology with bold imagination and creativity that is saturated in the grace and the person of Jesus Christ. This holistic approach allows me to voice with humor and seriousness the cost of discipleship while asking the hard questions that living the Christian life demands.

I am currently on the team of First Priority Of America. My job consists of the branding and expansion of First Priority across America. Our hope is to see the 26 million teenagers in America receive the hope of Christ.
