Blue Orchid

Blue Orchid brings together accomplished Richmond musicians for a sophisticated blend of inventive arrangements, fresh interpretations, and original compositions rooted in the jazz tradition. Featuring vocals, saxophone, flute, keyboards, bass, drums, and percussion, the ensemble moves comfortably between speakeasy type settings, jazz series, concert stages, outdoor events, and corporate and private events. The group’s approach emphasizes musical interaction, dynamic improvisation, and tasteful arrangements while remaining accessible to audiences well beyond the traditional jazz listener. This is River City Jazz at its finest.
