Blown Away Brass Band
Overview
Blown Away Brass Band plays events, weddings, and second lines all throughout the Crescent City, bringing their tight bombastic sound wherever a good time is needed.
The full band is a 6-piece by default (2 trumpets, 1 trombone, 1 sousaphone and 2 drummers) but we can change our size and instrumentation to meet your needs, anywhere from 1-12 musicians.
If you're booking us for a parade or second-line, we can help obtain the proper permits from city hall, plan the route, and book the police escort for a small processing fee.
We also play regularly at Frenchmen st. clubs under the name Brass Tyrannosaurus

Blown Away is an absolutely incredible band! We booked them for a second line for my Bachelor Party, and they were wonderful! They managed everything, including getting the police escort and the city permits, and even planned the route! The music was top notch, and was an absolutely incredible time and played some of my requests. I cannot recommend them enough.

If you are on the fence even a little bit on booking these guys, just do it. Professional, talented, helpful, amazing energy! They showed up on time and brought the perfect vibes. Our wedding would have been great without them, but I can’t tell you enough about the fun they brought with them. We didn’t ask for a second line but they marched us around the bar for a miniature one which was a highlight of the night. We asked for authentic New Orleans vibes and that is what they brought us. 100/10! Thanks again!

I booked Blown Away Brass Band for a birthday party and it was definitely the best way to celebrate! The entire experience from beginning to end was completely hassle free. Avery took care of everything!! Booked the band, obtained all necessary permits and the police escorts to accompany the parade, and provided excellent communication throughout the whole process.
The performers were punctual, professional, and experienced. They played a well curated set of non-stop favorites while leading a parade through New Orleans, in the dead of a summer heat wave, with smiles on their faces!!
You could not ask for a better birthday experience of a lifetime!! A truly unforgettable event that was enjoyed by all!!

Price range: $400 and up depending on band size desired
What to expect
We can adjust our instrumentation, our size, and the songs we play to suit your needs.
Any parade or second line on city street will require a permit and a police escort which can be obtained from city hall no less than 2 weeks before the event. We can handle that entire process for you for a small fee plus the cost.
