When event planners search for a service or entertainment on GigSalad, they see a list of members near their location. Featured profiles appear at the top of the search results, above all other membership levels advertising in the same location and category. At the Featured level, you can ensure you’re one of the first performers or service providers they see.
Display a Featured banner
Your profile will display a Featured banner in addition to appearing at the top of the search results. The banner will help you stand out from the competition and encourage more trust from event planners who can see you’re active on GigSalad.
Advertise in up to 20 categories
Categories and proximity to the event location are the most important factors we consider when distributing leads. With a Featured GigSalad membership, you can advertise in up to 20 categories. Each category you have is a unique search result page on which your profile appears. Simply put, more categories mean more chances for leads.

Booking Benefits
Booking your gigs through GigSalad is secure and convenient for you and your clients. With a paid membership, you can enjoy multiple benefits that will reduce costs and result in a smoother booking process.
Gain access to client phone numbers
We recommend maintaining consistent written communication via the inbox about important event details, such as performance times, costs, and setup information. However, making a personal connection may help you close more bookings.
As a paid GigSalad member, you can view potential client phone numbers prior to booking and call them or send a friendly text message. The event planner’s phone number, if provided, will be displayed as soon as you respond to the lead.
Accept higher deposits
No limits are placed on the total amounts that may be charged on GigSalad. However, we limit the amount that entertainers and service providers can request as a deposit. At the Featured level, you may receive deposits as large as $2,000, which is the highest deposit allowed.
Save with lower service fees
Each time you book on GigSalad, you and the client pay a service fee to cover the costs associated with keeping the website secure and sending payments. With a Featured membership, the service fees deducted from the payments are lower than those with a free profile. A small service fee of 2.5% will be deducted from the amount you charge, compared to the 5% for free members. This is lower than or equal to most credit card processors.
How to Take Advantage of Your Featured Profile
To enjoy the full benefits of your Featured profile, you will need to take a few action steps. You can make most of the adjustments on your own by editing your PromoKit through your control panel.
Add more categories
Our Featured memberships include up to 20 categories on your profile. After upgrading, the first thing you should do is add more categories. Take time to explore the many options available to you and add as many that are appropriate for your service or talent.
Follow the steps below to add additional categories:
- Log in to your PromoKit
- Select Edit PromoKit
- Select Lead Preferences
- Go to Additional Categories
- Select the General Category
- Choose a Specific Category
- Click on Add Category
- Repeat steps 5-7 as many times as needed
Display high-quality media
You’re paying membership fees to become more visible on GigSalad, so make sure you put your best foot forward with excellent media. You can upload photos, audio samples, and video examples. Keep in mind that there are many ways to create high-quality media without breaking the bank!
Customize your travel radius
Another benefit of being a paid member is the option to increase your exposure beyond 200 miles. If you’re open to traveling for gigs, increase your travel radius to improve your gig opportunities. While priority is still given to members who are advertising near the event’s location, by expanding your travel radius, you can receive quote requests from further away when no closer member is available.
Follow the steps below to change your travel preferences:
- Log in to your PromoKit
- Select Edit PromoKit
- Click on Lead Preferences
- Click on Location and Travel
- Select to calculate by Time, Distance, or Radius
- Adjust the chosen setting and click Save
Request a custom GigSalad URL
With a Featured membership, you can choose your own URL for your profile. Creating a custom URL will allow you to share your PromoKit more easily with marketing tools like email newsletters or social media posts. To update your GigSalad URL, submit a request to the Customer Happiness team with your preferred URL.
